Information Systems Security Offier

is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for our Waterford, CT office.
What you will be doing:
Assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the planning, organization, maintenance and compliance of classified systems in accordance with NISPOM, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and DSS Assessment & Authorization Process Manual.
Provide day-to-day technical support to classified IS including adherence to policies, procedures, and best practices.
Troubleshoot systems as necessary.
Audit information systems to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures while reporting any discrepancies to the ISSM and/or FSO.
Manage/schedule IS patching, updating, and scanning based on vulnerabilities and threats or regulatory compliance; maintain the day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring for all systems.
Manage user access and conduct user briefings as required.
Assist with classified spills/incident response or other security-related incidents.
Required
Qualifications:
Associates degree in an Information Technology-related field or two years' equivalent Information Technology experience Knowledge of Windows Server, and Active Directory Must have, or be able to obtain, Security
or equivalent certifications Must be a U.
S.
citizen and eligible for a government security clearance Preferred, but not required, experience in the following:
Mac OS X, Windows Server, and Linux Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 Active Department of Defense Security Clearance What's in it for you:
