Desktop Technician
Responsibilities:
Kforce has a client in search of a Desktop Technician in Carlstadt, New Jersey (NJ).
Summary:
We are looking for an energetic Desktop/Computer Technician with the desire to work with our valued client.
You must demonstrate proven customer service skills each and every day and show the ability to multitask.
This is a 3 - 4 week assignment to assist with decommission of video conference rooms and the installation of new video conference equipment.
Project location is 1 - 2 weeks in NYC and then 1-2 weeks in North Bergan, NJ.
REQUIREMENTS:
Desktop Support:

years of hands-on experience in IT support for businesses or other institutions Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve all kinds of PC issues with limited to no supervision Extensive knowledge of Windows desktop OS, Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 10 Proven ability to install, troubleshoot and repair PC hardware issues in a networked environment Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve OS and application related issues Experienced with installing and upgrading hardware and software on workstations Experienced with building, configuring and installing new PCs in a network Experienced with diagnosing and repairing connectivity issues Experience with optimizing and maintaining desktop computers Experience with providing remote Help Desk support Experience with desktop applications support (MS Office Suite, AV clients, Browsers, Adobe, etc.
) Experience with Active Directory, login scripts, user accounts and groups management, GPO settings Full understanding of roles of routers, firewalls, switches and VLANs Solid understanding of printer/file sharing and access permissions General server administration and configuration Absolute commitment to serving clients Must have a reliable transport and be willing to travel Preferences:
