Citizen Job Title:
Senior Linux-Systems Administrator Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements in large Tier 1 carrier's lab environment.
- The ideal candidate is someone with a desire to learn new technologies and a passion for sharing what they have learned with their peers.
- Key Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Security remediation, including patching.
In an-OpenStack environment perform the following activities:
User access provisioning.
Server configuration and builds.
DNS configuration.
Ongoing support (break / fix) of all-Lab Operations servers.
Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
Installs and monitors security auditing software and remediates-defects based on security best practice policies.
Ensures workstation / server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Requirements:
Must be an expert scripting in Ansible, Python and Bash 6 plus years Linux Systems Administration experience to include:
software /-application management.
account management.
server management.
security management.
user management.
4 plus years of experience with Unix / Linux Operating Systems (Various flavors of Linux as well as legacy SUN / Solaris).
Proven experience working on remediation in a cloud and security environment.
Proven experience working with Ubuntu.
Clear concise communication skills.

OpenStack Certification.
Education:
Bachelors of Science preferred.
