Summary:
Reporting to the Group Technology Manager, responsible for the day to day management of the Enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) Services provided by the IT Group which apply to the Bank's largest master domains Responsible for MDM definition, development, operation and management of these services within the Enterprise Data Architecture Ensures that the MDM services meet stakeholder needs across all major use cases and constituencies Creates the MDM technology services using Informatica Master Data Management, Data Quality, and PowerCenter products, beginning with the implementation of the Customer/Party Master domain Directly supervises internal staff and System Integrator resources Manages to budget of roughly $10 million / year for first 3 years Major
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing leadership to a team that will provide a comprehensive set of MDM services to the entire Bank Provides leadership around the management of master data within all areas of the Bank's technology portfolio Defines the strategy and roadmap for MDM services within the framework defined by Enterprise Data Architecture Works closely with internal stakeholders including Business, Operations, Enterprise Data Architecture, Chief Data Office, Information Security, and Infrastructure Services.
Manages the full lifecycle of the portfolio of MDM services from strategy through design, development, deployment and operation Defines and manages against clearly defined, published Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all MDM services Actively ensures continuous improvement in the quality and performance of MDM services through the consistent application of continuous improvement techniques.
Responsible for directly supervising staff and external resources, including interviewing, hiring, and termination of resources; recommending salary changes, job promotions, setting work hours, conducting counseling /performance reviews, and planning of work 10
years of direct work experience in enterprise data projects, with at least 2 to 3 years of direct experience with at least one leading MDM tool suite (Informatica preferred) Customer oriented with a drive to provide excellent levels of service Knowledgeable across a broad spectrum of uses and techniques for MDM Effective team leadership and ability to execute Ability to communicate with both business and technology people Familiar with fundamental Enterprise data integration technologies and methods such as ETL and data quality services Able to see the big picture while also focusing on the important details Preferred experience working within the commercial banking industry Experience implementing an MDM tool where none previously existed Experience with Continuous Improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
