Job Description:
Resource 1 is looking for a Sr.
Oracle DBA for a 6-month CFH in Wood Dale, IL.
The DBA will be responsible for ensuring that all database management techniques are followed in a reliable, productive, efficient, and progressive manner.

Responsibilities:
Administration of Enterprise Oracle 12c DB environment including troubleshooting, installing, backups, recovery, security, replications, memory management, configurations and tuning.
Monitor and support Oracle BI, OID, and Oracle Forms & Reports applications from an administration standpoint including the configuration of Database environment based on application changes.
Perform database modifications as required to support system enhancements, implementations, maintenance, and data recovery.
Analyze system environment as it relates to database performance, Linux/Unix environment settings, and hardware configurations.
Monitor database integrity in a proactive manner with respect to hardware corruption, software malfunctions, and user error.
Support Oracle Enterprise Manager and Plugins.
Versions 11, 12 & 13.
Manage backup and recovery with RMAN and media managers.
Perform upgrades and patches of Oracle Database and Middleware systems.
Experience:
8 years working experience as an Oracle Database Administrator running on a LINUX system.
Individual should have working knowledge of Oracle 10g or higher.
Good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
Good knowledge of backup and recovery processes with RMAN and media managers.
The ability to communicate with all levels of personnel is essential.
Technical writing skills are required for database management documentation and procedures.
DESIRED
Experience:
Oracle Middleware systems and Web Systems (Oracle Weblogic 12) EMC VMAX, VBLOCK or VxBLOCK.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
