Sr Network Engineer ( Nexus )

Sr Network Engineer - Level 3 and level 4 Client Location is in Carol Stream, IL 2 openings Contract to Hire Or direct Hire This position is responsible for design, implementation, management and maintenance of network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, datacenters and remote offices.
The qualified candidate must have hands-on experience designing, configuring and supporting various networking technologies, such as Cisco Nexus switches and ASR routers, Juniper and HP switches, Aruba switches and wireless access points.
Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field experience required.
Minimum 8 years of experience supporting local and wide area networks including network redundancy.
Minimum 5 years supporting multi data center networking environment Advanced level understanding and hands-on experience in network switching and network routing and routing protocols.
Proficient with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QOS, SNMP Strong networking and technical skills with an emphasis on LAN/WAN technology, network monitoring /management Experience working with Cisco Nexus 7 K and 9 K ( Cisco ACI ) Cisco Wireless would be great to have CCNP preferred or equivalent experience Juniper and Aruba experience will be great to have Infoblox experience is a plus Major Responsibilities Design, configure and support data center switches - Cisco Nexus 9 K - Cisco ACI apart from ASR routers, Aruba , Juniper switches and routers Evaluates new technologies and develop project proposals andmanager projects Ensure WAN performance and network quality of service Provide level 3 support for resolving network issues and document corrective actions.
Develop networking standards and provide mentoring to NOC and other team members.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
