Jr Network Engineer/Support
Jr Network Support engineer Location:
Whittier, CA Longterm Rate:
$30/hr to $35/hr opt-EAD can apply too Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serves as primary support for all IT-related issues at the Distribution Center.
Configures switches, RF devices and access points.
Performs network problem resolution within the Distribution Center and follows established technical standards and network designs.
Assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems at the Distribution Center (Telco, Video, VoIP, etc.
) of moderate complexity.
Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity for the Dematic conveyor systems.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to warehouse network configuration and mapping.
Manage PC imaging and upgrades, new hardware/software deployments, workstations, and printer setupimplementation.
Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience with configuration, deployment, and management of mobile computers.

Hands on knowledge of implementation and configuration of routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, and cabling in a large network environment is helpful.
Works closely and communicates often with the corporate office to establish and execute IT strategy for the CA distribution center.
Manage 3rd party resources to execute day to day activities such as new hires, office moves cable drops, etc.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting a large Distribution Center.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Working knowledge of networking (LANWANWLAN) and related hardware.
Cisco routers, Switches and RF technologies.
Project Management and System Integration skills.
Leadership and customer service skills essential.
Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
Routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support must be provided as needed to ensure network availability.
Reliable transportation for local travel to all warehouse locations required.
