About the Senior Systems Engineer Opportunity You have the unique opportunity to work with modern and highly scalable global systems and teams.
You must be an avid technology enthusiast with experience supporting production infrastructure that the business depends on to generate revenue.
You should learn and understand systems, automate repetitive tasks, and troubleshoot large, complex problems.
You'll will play an important role on a highly skilled and technical international team that builds and maintains our growing worldwide IT infrastructure that is critical to the success of Cvent.
You will be hands-on and expected to take ownership and make technical contributions.
Position Duties:
Build, configure, support, and manage machines running Microsoft Windows and critical services our applications depend on Install, configure, troubleshoot, monitor Windows clusters Install, configure, troubleshoot, monitor Active Directory Work closely with information security and network teams to receive and/or provide guidance and implement system security best practices Support and automate deployments, configurations, and other tasks using scripts, Chef, Jenkins, and other methodologies Support our self-hosted and AWS infrastructure Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to resolve complex issues related to a variety of server and compute platforms that host Cvent's SaaS products and critical Corporate Systems Work with our NOC team to monitor and respond to alerts Escalate issues when necessary, involve, and work with other engineers and/or stakeholders Create policy and documentation when necessary.
Write runbooks for NOC team members to follow Ability to work occasional nights and weekends to deal with outages and maintenance windows Be part of a team.

Excellent operational knowledge of Windows and clusters Excellent operational knowledge of Active Directory Experience supporting enterprise production environments - 150
servers, 1000
users Familiar with VMware Familiar with automation methods Familiar with ITSM tools and processes - ITIL Incident/Problem/Change management Identify, prioritize, and address infrastructure issues before they cause an outage Experience with distributed application architectures Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for administration tasks Ability to understand priorities and escalate accordingly; flexible and versatile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field #DicePost.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
