Job Description:
A Day in the Life:
The Vehicle Inspector role will inspect all newly arriving and end of term (EOT) vehicles for damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems. After inspection, they submit required electronic vehicle inspection reports, and perform all additional duties as assigned by the Inspection Manager (outlined below).
Ensure all vehicles inspected meet the program standards as defined by the account or contract and communicate when these are not being met
Maintain current knowledge on manufacturer updates and changes concerning vehicles, body shop labor, rates, and parts and labor charges
Partner with bank and factory representatives on site to ensure all additional quality inspections are completed
Help the company reduce arbitration vehicles and auction liability by completing excellent inspections with a high attention to detail
Ensure proper follow through on all directives and maintain strong communication with the team and your supervisor
Keep the workplace safe by monitoring all shop area conditions, vehicles, property, and equipment to ensure they are within corporate standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and safety
What's required:
High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year of mechanical/automotive/inspection experience
Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
A general knowledge of automotive components and bodywork process and or physical damage training, along with basic computer skills preferred
A working knowledge of technology (most inspection reports are submitted electronically)
Physical Working Condition: This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical, mechanical equipment and cleaning and pesticide chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
