Food Service Worker
Come be a part of our Food Service Team! The Food service worker must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. You must demonstrate effective customer service skills in order to best represent our hospital while dealing with the patients, patient families and staff members. High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be capable of standing and walking most of the day with some stooping, reaching head to toe, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and handling of food service equipment and supplies. You must have the ability, manual dexterity and fine motor coordination to perform repetitive duties performed in high heat and/or humidity as well as in a stressful environment. Equipment Used:
Dish machine, food carts, steam tables, blenders, garbage disposal, can openers, dish dollies.
This position can work up to 13 hour shifts from 6:
30 AM to 8:
00 PM.
The work will range from serving hot meals on the patient serving line and delivering meals to patient rooms, operating the dish machine, cleaning and mopping floors, replenishing nourishments in the physician lounge, supporting the operation with other tasks as assigned.
