Systems Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Deliver products and services to government clients in the field of directed energy. Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions, develop advanced technology ideas, and guide their development into a final product. Apply knowledge of the systems engineering discipline across one or more components of the system development life cycle (SDLC), including concept development, technical planning, requirements development, system analysis, system design, integration, verification, transition, operations, obsolescence, and disposal. Participate in program integrated product teams (IPTs) and drive the proper application of systems engineering processes. Exhibit familiarity with the DoD 5000 process for system acquisitions, including Systems Engineering Plans, System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), System Certification processes, and specialty engineering activities. Leverage expertise in the Integration and Test (I&T) of complex systems, including analyzing test plans and test reports, creating a Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM), witnessing test events and determining success, and performing verification status accounting activities. Gather, analyze, and compose technical information and translate technical information into clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non technical personnel.

Qualifications:
10
years of experience with systems engineering
Experience with requirements management using the DOORS tool
Experience with planning integration and test events and reporting verification results
Experience with DoD acquisition
Knowledge of SETR processes for major milestones and I&T events
Knowledge of other SE fields, including configuration management, risk management, Cybersecurity, and certification processes
Ability to serve as an action officer for SE IPT
Ability to support interface development and working groups
Secret clearance
BA or BS degree
Additional
Qualifications:
Experience with the US Navy
Experience with software testing
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
MA or MS degree in an engineering field or related technical or scientific field
Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
