Patient Transporter
Job Details
Responsibilities:
Responsible for moving patients via stretcher, bed, or wheelchair from their room to other diagnostic departments for testing and vice versa, as well as discharge and admissions.
Provides direct patient care for the patients while in transit to the various parts of the Hospital.
Requirements:
High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Ability to read at an 8th grade level and perform mathematical computations at a 6th grade level, as documented by successfully passing a math and reading test.
Six months previous experience preferred.
Experience as an orderly, transporter or nursing assistant preferred.
Two weeks on-the-job training.
BLS required within 6 months of employment.
Job requires constant moving and being on your feet.
