Chemical Engineer

Employee will be part of an R&D team conducting use-inspired research that focuses on developing innovative pyrochemical technologies for the treatment of used nuclear fuel with the goal of recovering actinides for use in advanced reactors and isolating the fission products for encapsulation in durable waste forms. Specific tasks will include developing advanced used nuclear fuel treatment concepts and flowsheets; design, fabrication, and evaluation of electrochemical systems for recovering actinides from complex molten salt systems; elucidating the process chemistry associated with electrochemical separation systems; and developing computer models that describe the separations process. In addition to the chemical separation research activities, the employee may be called upon to participate in research focused on determining the thermophysical properties of molten salts proposed for use in advanced nuclear reactor or chemical separation systems.
Position Requirements
We expect you to have:
Comprehensive:
Knowledge of electrochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, and chemical engineering concepts as applied to nuclear chemical separation systems.
Considerable:
Knowledge of actinide and molten salt chemistry demonstrated through prior research activities.
Knowledge of safe handling of radioactive materials demonstrated through prior research activities.
Skill in devising, performing, and evaluating experiments and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Knowledge of computer applications for data acquisition, analysis and modeling chemical systems.
Written and oral communication skills.
Good:
Knowledge of electrochemical cell design and fabrication.
Knowledge of high-temperature chemical processes.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
