Infant Development Specialist (Experienced Child Development Specialist - Home-Based Setting)

ECA currently has a rewarding employment opportunity for an Experienced Early Interventionist (Infant Development Specialist / Child Development Specialist) that is passionate about working with children from birth to three years of age in the home-setting/natural environment. Please be advised that this is a developmental intervention position and not a behavioral intervention position. All clinicians must be educated, and have work experience related to the development of children from birth to three years of age.
All of our positions begin as part-time and may have the opportunity to grow to full-time based on clinical success and coverage area. Our part-time opportunities have a minimum requirement of 15 treatment visits assigned per week. All treatment visits are 1 hour in length. It may take 60 to 90 days from a clinician's start date to establish the initial caseload depending on experience, location, etc. We are seeking candidates with availability during Monday through Friday with flexible schedules during daytime hours. Please be advised that all clinicians are expected to cover a minimum of a 15-mile radius from the primary treatment location. Our primary regional areas of need are San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley, Glendale/Burbank/North Hollywood area, San Gabriel/East Los Angeles, and Thousand Oaks/Simi Valley/Westlake Village areas.
Compensation:
We like to be transparent from the start. Therefore, our compensation is clear and non-negotiable. Please only apply if the compensation aligns with your long term financial needs. The compensation ranges from $18 per billable treatment to $22 per billable treatment based on clinical experience. The treatments are 1 hour in length. Please note that this compensation range is non-negotiable and we like to be transparent about the compensation up front. In addition, you get reimbursed for documentation time, administrative time, and drive-time between consumer appointments at $12.00 per hour. Early Interventionists typically average a global billable equivalency of $25 to $30 per billable treatment when you add all the compensation together and divide it by billable treatments completed. In addition, clinicians are reimbursed for mileage between consumer appointments based on the IRS standard. We also offer an expense stipend of $35 per month for part-time employee and $50 per month for full-time employees. Our full-time early intervention clinicians average from $30k annually to $48k annually depending on productivity. Please keep in mind that all billable treatments are 1 hour in length and the average full-time early intervention therapist is scheduling 30 to 35 billable treatments per week. In addition, our full-time clinicians are eligible for a complete benefits package inclusive of medical benefits, 401k, and continuing education.
Please review the qualifications that are required for this position. All candidates must have the following:
Languages: We are seeking clinicians that are fluent in multiple languages. We have a significant need for clinicians who are at least conversational in Spanish.
Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Relevant Child Development Field
Must have prior experience as a developmental therapist with emphasis on birth to three population
Must have reliable transportation and ability to cover a 15 to 20-mile coverage area
Passion for empowering parents to support their children with developmental delays
Developmental Assessment Experience (Utilizing one of the following tools: DAYC-2, BAYLEY, HAWAII/HELP, etc.)
Clinical Documentation Experience (Writing Samples are required)
Experienced infant development clinician who is reliable with world-class communication skills (written and verbal communication)
Must pass background check and drug screening
Must be able to make an 18-month commitment due to continuity of care requirements
Must reside near the location of the job post (within 5 to 10 miles and able to cover a 15 to 20-mile radius of the city mentioned in the job post)
Must be able to accept 15 treatment visits assigned per week. Must have availability during the week during mornings and afternoons.

Observation Interview (After the in-person interview process, you may be invited to participate in an observation interview where you go out with a clinician for 1 to 2 treatment visits. During this process, we evaluate how you engage during the treatment sessions, professionalism, and utilize our clinical team to give direct clinical feedback on the candidate, etc.)
Clinical Interview (After the observation interview process, you may be invited to participate in a clinical interview with our Clinical Director where you will be asked questions related to clinical and treatment approaches, experiences, etc. Your prior clinical documentation will be evaluated during this experience as well.)
