Outside Sales Rep
Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Position Summary
Outside Sales specializing in the selling of packaging and products through the Company's total solutions approach.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting: Develop lists of prospective customers in a defined geographical calling area through cold calling, sales leads, newspapers, business directories , and other sources.
2. Account Visitation: Personally visit existing or prospective accounts on a bi-weekly basis with value added product and concepts that will lead to sales.
3. Presentations: Be able to present products, concepts, samples and other related materials centered on expanding the current business base.
4. Quoting: Quotes price, credit term, and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
5. Follow Through: Provide estimated delivery dates based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules and follow up to make sure that they are me. Follow upon other customer related request and ensure that they are delivered per the committed schedule.
6. Fulfill Required Duties: Fulfill all required sales related functions and duties as prescribed by company management.
7. Relationship Development: Build personal relationships with customers using the company provided tools and non-provided tools.
8. Receivables: Assists with collecting past due receivables.
9. Meeting and Sales Function: Attends all required sales meetings, training sessions, plant tours, etc
10. Performance: Be able to maintain established company performance standards required of all Sales representatives . Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
Background/ technical experience and sales acumen desired
Experience and/or training in sales preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
