Our recent expansion has afforded us an opportunity to seek for Engineering Technicians for the Production Engineering Department (Day Shift Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) at our Monroe, GA facility. The primary role of the Engineering Technician is to maintain and improve production lines, enhances cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This person will recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. The Engineering Technician may also coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Chief Duties and/or
Responsibilities:
1. Performs research, Maintains and Improves manufacturing processes for machining area.
2. Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
3. Improve manning plans based on volume forecasts for new and current programs.
4. Gives input to product design based on design for manufacturability/Improvements for machining areas.
5. Maintains, improves and tests and/or sources cost-justified tooling and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
6. Performs product/process analysis to help OEE improvement (cost reductions, process capability and machine uptime improvement).
7. Utilize data such as downtime, scrap, efficiencies, etc. to plan and strategize countermeasures for equipment and process problems.
8. Develop and document quality systems for new programs (control plan, PFMEA, process flow, work instructions, and inspection plans.).
9. Revises and updates process documentation for existing programs (control plan, PFMEA, process flow, work instructions, and inspection plans.).
10. Calculate required dunnage usage. Design, test and order all necessary dunnage for new programs.
11. Leads or participates in Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement in processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment.
12. Works cooperatively with Production, Maintenance, Quality and other department members.
13. Trains production GL and operators in topics like cutting tools technology, measuring equipment usage, production equipment operation and troubleshooting.
14. Defines Preventive Maintenance plan and sets up production equipment spare parts.
15. Maintains and organizes production equipment hand books.
Qualified Applicants will possess the following:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or at leas five (5) years of related engineering experience. Experience in automotive manufacturing industry is preferred.
2. Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
3. Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods for chip removal processes.
4. Problem analysis and problem resolution.
5. Familiarity with current automotive standards and OSHA regulations.
6. Technical verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals.
8. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands:
Required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Combination of office and plant environment. Required to use safety glasses and wear safety shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
