Position: Program Director, Bucks County, PA
Department: Developmental Disabilities Program in Bucks County
Availability of Position: Immediately
Schedule: Full time, 40 plus hours per week with On-Call Responsibilities
Reporting Relationship: Executive Director, DDP
Salary and Grade: $55,000 per year; 15 Exempt
Responsibilities
This position performs both administrative and programmatic work with 24-hour-a-day responsibility for overseeing and coordinating staff and a wide array of other supports for adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities who are residing in residential programs or receiving day support in Bucks County. Work requires flexible scheduling to encompass some evenings and weekends as necessary to provide appropriate oversight of the program and to ensure emergency response is available to meet health and safety needs. Travel throughout Bucks County and Southern Pennsylvania, as well as to ourPhiladelphia office to coordinate and integrate the program with departmental objectives and to provide appropriate oversight of the program, is also required.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include a Masters degree in Human Services field/area as defined by State Licensing requirements for Developmental Disabilities Programs, and 6 years administrative/supervisory experience or BA and equivalent. Experience with a wide range of persons with developmental disabilities (from profound to borderline) and their concomitant service needs/treatments preferred especially dual diagnosed, multiply handicapped, and persons with challenging behavior problems, etc. Ability to track and organize massive amounts of information to meet both the individual's and State requirements, as well as efficient use of personnel time. Experience with a wide range of support services (e.g. varying models of residential services, specialized therapies, supported employment, natural home supports, etc). Ability to work with families, teams and funding sources in a cooperative and respectful manner and effectively maximize support from these sources. Commitment to quality services focused on the individuals we serve and implementation of State and Department initiatives in Quality, as well as maintenance of all certification and licensing requirements. The individual should have a commitment to participatory management/total quality management style, as well as the ability to provide oversight of fiscal operations/expenses (e.g. staff schedules, budget preparation, cost effectiveness). Ability to anticipate problems and to initiate problem solving, and new projects and carry them to completion. Ability to provide programmatic and training supports to staff and individuals served. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
