Make timely, accurate, and customer-focused STD, SDI, and AM new and ongoing claim decisions. Reach out to obtain relevant clinical, vocational, employer, financial, and other information. Compare the information to the terms, limitations, and conditions of the contract/administrative services agreement and applicable procedural documents and render the claim decision as quickly as possible. Document the claim systems in an accurate and comprehensive manner while maintaining maximum levels of efficiency. Prepare and disseminate articulate written and verbal communication to assorted internal and external sources. Prepare, update, and utilize a claim management plan to attain the most appropriate outcome. Remain in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Demonstrate an above average level of proficiency in STD, SDI, and AM product and claim administration techniques. Remain fully compliant with operational standards. Meet or exceed claim team operational metrics. Maintain a superior level of genuine caring and empathetic customer service throughout all interactions. Take appropriate actions to earn the claimant s and employer s trust and confidence. Anticipate customer needs and take action. Work as a team to support one another through flexibility, collaboration, creating a positive work environment, consistently maintaining professionalism and integrity, actively taking steps to foster high morale, and demonstrating a dedication to excellence.
Requirements:
Required/Preferred QualificationsEducation Required:High School DiplomaMinimum Years of Related Work Experience Required:12 36 months of STD claim experienceSpecific Industry and/or Specialty Experience Required:Demonstrate proficiency in STD, SDI, and AM product and claim administration issues. Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing these products and services. Skills and Abilities Required:Familiarity with disability claim management concepts, good understanding of medical terminology/pathology/anatomy, articulate verbal and writing skills, decision making, meeting deadlines, working with confidential information, moderate skills with Microsoft Office and other software applications, customer service skills, stress tolerance, math skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, have a high level of attention to detail, work under pressure, confidence to make claim decisions, results-driven, and high attention to departmental/company procedures/practices. Education/Experience/Licensing Training/Skills/Abilities PREFERRED:College degree is preferred. Possessing or actively pursuing a New York Independent Adjuster license is a plus. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
