Finance Manager
This position supports our Technical Products and Direct to Consumer strategic business units and requires a highly developed analytical skill set, the ability to analyze and reconcile data, and work with appropriate supervision in completing the required finance functions. The Finance Manager also needs to possess a great deal of insight; to be able to connect facts, and occurrences that seem to have no connection, but may have significant meaning in identifying, analyzing, and assisting in maximizing the business units' profitability.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for understanding the business units' P&L and understanding all impacts to profitability
Work with Sales Management in analyzing pricing and potential areas of opportunity
Review business unit performance on monthly basis with management and provide financial analysis of variances
Assist with monthly financial analysis and other reporting/ad hoc analyses
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
Assist with capital projects as needed
Work with Sales on new strategic opportunities
Assist and partner with business leaders on implementation of profit improvements
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field, MBA or CPA preferred
5-10 years of financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Hyperion, and SAP preferred
Ability to work independently
DESIRABLE TRAITS AND SKILLS
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to interact with all levels of management
Analytical and Problem solving skills
Self-starter with an inquisitive nature
Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new concepts
Technical aptitude regarding operating systems and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Ability to address and resolve problems and issues as they occur
Travel requirements up to 25%
