We are presently looking for a Software Engineer (PHP) to become part of our agile team based in Queensbury working on next-generation entertainment datasets, where you will contribute directly to internal and customer-facing software. Here you'll get a chance to work in a fast-paced environment, learn on your feet and perfect the data that drives entertainment products used by consumers around the world. The Software Engineer develops and implements software that fulfills Gracenote's business objectives: generate new revenue opportunities, promote customer satisfaction and realize operational efficiencies in productivity and quality control.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Code, debug, and unit test systems per requirements and technical design.
Database design and Development.
Code, update, debug and optimize SQL.
In the case of new or existing relational databases you will lead the data design and produce enterprise-level data models.
Review and analyze requirements / write estimates.
Review requirements and design documents to produce estimates and task lists based on those requirements.
Support, refactor and enhance an existing production system.
FOR THIS ROLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE:
A bachelor's or masters degree in CS, CE or a related field or the equivalent in education and experience

years of backend programming experience
Previous professional experience programing in PHP
Good experience with design patterns, coding standards and take pride of the quality of your code
Excellent database design and implementation skills
Experience with data parsing and data ingestion
A minimum of two years of experience using relational databases (Postgres or MySQL)
Experience with Agile and other modern software development methodologies
Good communication skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
