Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Obstetrical Nursing, provides assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department and regulatory agencies.
The L&D Technician is accountable for the aspects of nursing care they are directed to provide within their scope of practice. Scrubs in, sterilizes, and sets up rooms. Provides clerical and support services to the unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
o High School diploma or equivalent required.
o Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required.
Experience
o Minimum two years surgical technologist experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
o Certificate of completion from Accredited Surgical Technology Program required.
o BLS healthcare provider required.
Skills
o Organizational skills.
o Computer skills.
o Sterile technique.
o Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
o Ability to maintain confidential information.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
