Job Title: Research Associate II
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
Under minimal direction of the Core Director and Core Administrator, Research Associate II (RAII) performs a major role in the molecular pathology core for clinical translational research in the areas of genomics, transcriptomics, circulating tumor DNA analysis, circulating tumor cell analysis, minimal residual disease detection and functional studies from clinical specimens. Performs genomic data analysis, new technology development and supports Principal Investigators at City of Hope.
Essential Functions:
Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree preferred.
Two years related research/ laboratory experience with a Bachelor's degree or, one year related research/ laboratory experience with a Master's degree.
Highly preferred: Five or more years related research/ laboratory experience with a Bachelor's degree or four or more years related research/ laboratory experience with a Master's degree.
