Foodservice Associate
Job Details
The purpose of this position is to prepare meals following the established guidelines for therapeutic diets. To insure that proper methods of food handling and sanitation procedures are met during meal preparation to include the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment. Ensuring process is done in a cost-effective, efficient manner to safely meet the needs of patients, visitors and staff in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills essential
Food Protection Manager certification is preferred, and will be required to obtain.
Additional Job Duties
Demonstrate competency in food preparation to insure food is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Assume responsibility for avoiding food waste.
Monitor temperature indicators and record as assigned.
Receive and store food and supplies.
Order food from local suppliers as needed.
Assist in the dish room as necessary.
