Production Support, Lighting and Grip (Entry-level)

The LinkedIn Learning Solutions Content Team is looking for a Production Support, Lighting and Grip who will be responsible for providing support during all stages of production to the live-action team. This is an entry-level position that requires knowledge of digital video production skills, electrical/grip skills, lighting, and set building. The Production Support role works in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment with concurrent projects and production timelines. This position provides technical and physical support during the staging and setting up of camera equipment, lighting, accessories, and props used during the recording process.

Responsibilities:
Focus, dress, and balance lighting including positioning reflectors/bounce boards to obtain optimal lighting results.
Operate teleprompter and media tools as required for live action shoots.
Perform data entry and documentation of procedures.
Prepare and format correspondence, reports, and documents.
Work with crew to build sets, lift and move set pieces and production equipment, layout and connect necessary cables and gear for proper workflow.
Transport and load/unload gear, sets, and other equipment for location shoots.
Support the Stage Operations Manager with day-to-day duties including stage organization, cleanup, gear, and prop organization.
Support the Production team as they develop production strategies for set builds, lighting, camera placement, and other shoot requirements.
Position and move cameras, dollies, jibs, sliders, and other equipment as needed.
Prepare and deliver props, equipment, and supplies for a studio or location filming.
Assist in the construction of sets and background scenes as needed.
Assist in the assembly and dismantling of heavy stage sets quickly and safely.
Assist in rigging and adjusting overhead lighting and grip rigs that require climbing ladders.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the studios.
Will lift heavy material to production set.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Basic
Qualifications:

years of experience working on production sets
Must have a valid CA Driver License
Experience with studio equipment including sets, props, cameras, and lighting equipment
Preferred
Qualifications:
Technical college training in video or film production
Working knowledge of video editing and compression software
Knowledge of word-processing software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, FileMaker Pro)
Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder
Experience using professional HD Video Cameras (4K cameras are a plus)
Project and time management capabilities in a professional, fast paced, production environment
Professional, punctual, and dependable with the the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
Strong Mac computer skills with basic troubleshooting and basic networking knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
Strong desire for learning new software, workflows, gear, and equipment while following standard safety procedures and best practices
Effectively prioritize multiple directives at any given time
Highly motivated and action oriented with a positive and constructive mindset
Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently with minimal supervision
Experience in set design or art department
Experience in lighting for video production
