Position: Corps Program Assistant
Department: Corps Sussex Highway, Seaford, DE
Availability of Position: July 2017
Schedule: Part-Time up to 29 hours per week; evenings and weekends required
Reporting Relationship: Corps Officers
Salary and Grade: $13.00 per hour; 73 Non-Exempt
Responsibilities
The Corps Program Assistant's primary responsibility is to give oversight as directed by the Corps Officer for The Salvation Army children's programming at the Corps. In addition, this position would assist with summer programs and other seasonal programs as assigned.
Job Duties:
Active Senior Soldier in The Salvation Army
Must have a passion for children's ministry and evangelism
Must have excellent relational skills with children and adults
Must have good communication skills
Salvation Army youth work experience preferred
Ability to speak Spanish a plus but not necessary
Training and experience in urban ministry preferred
Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver's license with 2 or less violations over the past two years. Must have good verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate well with a broad variety of constituents including clients, leadership, and co-workers. Must have the ability to use general office machines and be computer literate. Bilingual (English and Spanish) ability is a plus in both verbal and written communication. Must be a uniformed Salvationist minimum of 3-5 years, working knowledge and experience in the operations of Salvation Army Center of worship. Regular attendance and participation in the worship services at The Seaford Corps is required. Must be able and willing to work evenings and weekends. This position requires the ability to work effectively without supervision. Must possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Must have a clear understanding of Salvation Army Program ministries; Bible knowledge and experience in leading Bible studies and small group meetings. Candidate must be able to obtain clearance required by the Joseph R. Biden III and the Child Protection Act. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
