Bachelor's-level clinician provides classroom support to students who have emotional and/or behavioral concerns. This position is in a school-based, mental health program, located in Glen Mills, PA. This is a position providing services in the Delaware County Intermediate Unit's New Pathways program at the Pennington School located in Glen Mills, PA, and it is a collaborative partnership between the Delaware County Intermediate Unit and Crozer Chester Medical Center's Community Division. This is a 12-month position.
Experience working with children and adolescents with significant behavioral/emotional issues is a prerequisite. Excellent crisis intervention skills required. Ability to deescalate and mediate conflicts. Ideal candidate must be experienced at writing thorough and timely progress notes. Must function well as part of a treatment team and as a consultant to the educational system. Ability to multitask. Makes appropriate referrals to outside systems for necessary treatment; Confers and coordinates with current treatment providers. Participates in IEP's meetings as requested and reports on progress as required. Candidate must have the ability to input daily goal sheet data into computerized application.
