Global Supplier Manager

Position Purpose:
Management of global supply base to maximize performance and leverage to positively impact financial performance of all Woodward business groups. Includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of the assigned suppliers. Key focus is the selection and development of the supply base to match Woodward's future needs, but also includes support of the business group based purchasing functions in the areas of strategic alignment and critical issue escalation.
Essential Functions:
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness)
Development of complex sub-commodity strategies with limited oversight - significant contribution to commodity level strategy development
Ability to understand and apply impact of business level strategies
Cooperative development of strategies with balance of enterprise and supplier(s)
Understanding of more advanced market influences (forecast of indices, labor, geopolitical, emerging markets, etc.) with integration into strategies
Demonstrated ability to develop supplier strategies aimed at the development of a long-term viable supply base - maximize sustainable value of supplier to WW results
Strategy Deployment (project management, metrics goals, escalations - charter, etc.)
Demonstrated ability o manage medium/complex projects containing unknowns and risks requiring quick adjustment to planning and activity to ensure goals are not compromised.
Supplier Relationship Management (commercial management, internal coordination and alignment)
Relationship management at significantly high level with supplier, including executive level with oversight
Strategic relationship (risk sharing, contractual creativity, etc.)
Analytics (Business Objects and external sources)
Development and deployment of appropriate actions based upon data
Basic interpretation of external data to influence decisions
Business Systems
Ability to find root cause through use of non-purchasing WISE application
Mentoring for Level 1 supplier managers on tools and applications
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation and process)
Ability to develop non-standard agreements with oversite
Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate type of agreement to conditions
Development of negotiation strategies for simple and medium complexity contracts
Participation on complex negotiation teams and lead on medium complexity negotiations
Compliance
Insight into regulatory compliance as it applies to projects and activities - incorporating activities to ensure regulatory compliance
Demonstrated understanding of intent of Global Sourcingstandardized processes to ensure desired results
Other Functions:
CI Process Development
Lead defined continuous improvement efforts - Global Sourcing oriented
Operate within Global Matrixed Structure
Effectively lead global/remote teams
Ability to discern roles/responsibilities in various organizational structures

Education or Formal Training:
4 year bachelor degree is required, advanced business degree preferred, purchasing (CPM, CPI, APICS, etc.) and project management certifications preferred
Experience Required:
3-5 years purchasing experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
