Our physician billing experts ensure that there is accurate billing and coding in order for the hospital to obtain reimbursement. In this role, you will prepare billing statements and claim forms to third party payers and/or patients. The key function of this position is to monitor submissions for prompt payment from third party payers to ensure maximization of revenues. The successful candidate will review and analyze medical charts, for proper CPT and ICD-9, ICD-10 coding for submission to various carriers. Monitors the status of outstanding accounts and identifies those that are past due to be referred to collections as delinquent. Researches rejected or suspended claims for re-submission and payment.
Required Criteria
Three to five years healthcare billing/reimbursement or collections experience
Computer literacy
Thorough knowledge of third party regulations, medical billing procedure and the proper completion of HCFA Form 1500
Thorough knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
