UX Designer

The UX Designer will plan, develop and oversee the design direction and strategy that will support marketing and sales objectives and drive revenue growth on the organization's digital products including Universal studios Hollywood and Halloween Horror Nights E-Commerce properties.
This person will partner with marketing, sales, technology and internal teams to create an unparalleled guest experience that reinforces brand education and persuasion and puts the customer experience first. In crafting and implementing a design strategy, this person should be well versed in current UX best practices including mobile first design thinking.
Design Strategy & User
Experience:
Collaborate with product management, and other stakeholders to implement an intuitive, seamless user experience with initiatives across web and mobile platforms
Lead projects from a UX perspective by defining functionality, navigation, and interaction models
Creating UX deliverables: wireframes, functional specifications, site maps, user journeys, flows, personas, site audits, etc.
Participate in product definition with product managers and user research teams
Craft prototypes and design deliverables to increase key performance metrics
Utilize A/B testing to present and validate design solutions
Champion mobile first and user-centered design best practices to influence key decision makers across the company
Present and justify design thinking and rationale through key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders
Optimize user flows and customer experience for conversion programs across all web business channels, including, B2C, B2B and International
Work with product teams to improve conversion and attendance metrics using best practices and continual optimization for the Universal Studios Hollywood and Halloween Horror Nights brands
Be a thought leader and guide development of user-friendly design, including responsive design and other industry best practices in usability and research
Responsible for reviewing and monitoring competitive websites and trends in E-Commerce user experience
Passionate about the Internet, social media and emerging technologies for commerce, staying current as digital technology evolves
Accountability & Reporting:
Engage in ideation sessions to reveal high-value product opportunities
Sketch, wire-frame and prototype to visualize and refine concepts
Communicate design rationale in terms of business value, user value and design principles
Audit and develop design strategy which aligns to customer needs
Design and implement A/B testing plans for the ticket stores
Utilize data to drive decision-making process on future development and testingRapid prototyping experience - Sketch, Invision, etc
Solid interaction design and information architecture background.

years of experience in ecommerce and/or UX for web, mobile, and native with an emphasis on name brand travel or retail sectors
Interactive product design experience that has materially contributed to growing online revenue within the context of a consumer oriented ecommerce business
Possess understanding of the best practices for online user experience and interface strategies, site usability and user interface design
Must be conversant in the latest technical standards and best practices in interactive design and development
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum participating in design sprints, stand-ups, sprint planning, lean product testing, etc.
Candidates must include a strong portfolio which demonstrates the elements above
