Assistant Technicians

The Assistant Technician is responsible for maintenance functions associated with mechanical equipment and light electrical work within the plant.
1. Install and maintain piping, both Ferris and NonFerris, screwed, welded, flanged or otherwise coupled; shutoffs, controls, check valves, traps, strainers, and all devises normally found in process and service piping.
2. Do machinist work, use common machine tools to cut, shape, form, etc. and other materials into shape.
3. Troubleshoot as a mechanic, use common hand tools to adjust, replace worn and broken parts of a structural, rotating, reciprocating or running nature.
4. Do sheet metal work for the repair of duct work, machinery guards, drip pans, tanks, vent hoods, and various other types of equipment using light to medium gauge metal.
5. Weld, both electric and gas, flat weld and pipe welding in any position.
6. Communicate effectively with maintenance supervision, engineering personnel, area department supervision.
7. Accurately and correctly record job time and accurately record/signin service/attendance time.
8. Learn to troubleshoot and repair control devices and motors in the 110 V AC to 4160 V AC range along with college class progression.
9. Learn to troubleshoot and repair relay/limit switch logic devices, and troubleshoot, program and repair PLC's along with college class progression.
10. Learn to troubleshoot and repair electronic type control devices that utilize solid state components, transistors, diodes, VDC. This repair includes printed circuit board assemblies along with college class progression.
11. Learn to troubleshoot and repair control devices used in conjunction with plant service in steam, water, air, etc. These control devises may be electrical or mechanical.
12. Follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies.
13. Must be certified to operate a Fork Lift through the Safety Department.
14. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervision or Department Manager. Job Requirements Basic
Qualifications:
- AAS Degree in Mechanical field
Commitment to take and pass a specific number of electrical college classes over a defined period of time.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
