Position
Summary:
Coach and mentor Location Management to achieve an accident free work environment while maintaining full compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.
Major
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of location strategies that are aligned with the region strategy. Monitor effectiveness and oversee corrective/improvement efforts.
Conduct activities that will lead to the prevention of accidents
Conduct activities that will lead to 100% compliance with applicable regulations
Develop and mobilize an effective safety team comprised of exempt and non-exempt associates
Conduct regular inspections, process evaluations, and observations to validate strategy effectiveness
Provide location leadership with evaluation/inspection results along with recommendations for solutions via Gensuite Audit Tracking System
Track findings to completion and involve local leadership when progress towards completion stalls or falls behind schedule
Provide effective training, updates, and tools, which support H&S and Operations and are necessary to meet objectives.
Track or assure that all training is documented
Assure that all training is effective
Monitor and analyze key compliance metrics. Identify and oversee corrective and improvement efforts.
Gensuite owner at a local level.
Enter updated injury & accident data
Enter or assure the entry of Audit Findings in the Audit Tracking System
Keep local management apprised of trends and provide recommendations that will direct trends in a favorable direction
Provide communication to and from Operations Leadership teams regarding performance and status, and make recommendations for improvement.
Serve as local contact with Risk Management
Track and manage the return to work process
Perform site observations and provide feedback to associates, supervisors, and management
Other projects as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferred
1 years of Health & Safety or Operations Management experience with proven leadership ability required
Certified Safety Professional as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Successfully completed the OSHA 10 hour industrial and have a minimum of three years of safety experience.
Should have knowledge of the following:
Effective Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control Techniques
DOT Regulations
OSHA Regulations
Accident Investigation Techniques
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
