We are currently seeking an Part Time Science Teacher (Certified)
Position Summary
The Certified Teacher provides an effective learning environment to motivate and guide students toward the successful accomplishment of established educational goals and objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Assess and evaluate academic needs of a diverse population of students; provide instruction as appropriate to the specified course or discipline and academic level, e.g., general education students, at risk, and/or disabled students,
Research, select, prepare, and maintain appropriate educational development plans, materials, equipment, and resources for each student,
Serve as academic advisor and positive role model for assigned students,
Manage documentation of student records; assist in the preparation for placement of graduating advisees,
Identify and determine appropriate course of action necessary for the resolution of students' academic or behavioral issues and concerns,
Perform home visits as dictated by program standards and/or state contract as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Education or other related field,
Teaching experience working with middle and high school youth,
Experience with working with at-risk kids a plus,
Must have a valid State Teaching Certification,
Must satisfy criminal background check and drug screening,
Possess or obtain CPR and First Aid certification,
Possess and maintain a current valid driver's license in the state of employment,
Travel may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
