Production Technician I Grinding (Nights)
Summary: The Production Technician I is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery to maximize production and maintain Keurig's high standards in safety and quality. This role will also be engaged in complying and understanding the manufacturing processes to lead in the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Safety
Comply with all safety policies and procedures and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times.
Actively engaged in the Safety Observation/Peer to Peer coaching/feedback discussion.
Maintain a healthful and safe environment and promptly report any violations/ discrepancies/injuries/ incidents to appropriate personnel.
Compliant with all Safety Training initiatives.
Quality
Performs standard work and understands where to find Standard Operating Procedures at the site level.
Understands and complies with quality systems and policies (Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices
and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
Understands, demonstrates and articulates ownership of quality metrics.
Actively participates in Root Cause Corrective Analysis of quality events.
Actively participates and engages in internal audits.
Delivery
Populate and present Daily Management System Line Board with hourly data on production/ Overall Equipment Efficiency/ Scrap /Safety/Quality and articulate issues/opportunities.
Actively engaged in effective shift handoff.
Complete standard work in allowed time for changeovers and cleans including line clearance & pre-checks.
Perform documentation /verification in applicable systems (COLOS- Software package used for labeling, PeopleSoft, Systems, Applications & Products (our ERP system) Manufacturing Execution System, Trackwise and paper records) to ensure timely release.
Actively escalates line issues /opportunities using the Daily Management Systems escalation process / Root Cause Corrective Analysis activities and engages in maintenance calls as a learning opportunity.
Proficiency of required jobs/equipment in production line (certification).
Cost
Understand and participates in working to reduce line scrap and material usage variance.
Actively understands waste, cost per cup and cups/labor hour.
Responds to quality and waste issues by stopping production if necessary and escalating the issue.
Actively support generation of productivity ideas and continuous improvement teams.
Actively learn & participate in Root Cause Corrective Analysis activities.

Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig Green Mountain and the department.
Performs other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude of processing and packaging machine operations; with a preference of some manufacturing experience.
Ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve. Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
Ability to get along with others, be punctual, demonstrate satisfactory attendance, and follow instructions from others.
Strong computer and software skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, etc)
Basic mathematical skills to make production calculations
Experience with Systems, Applications & Products (our Enterprise Resource Planning system) preferred.
Successful completion of Virtual Job Tryout.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.
Ability to push/pull up to 1,500 pounds using supplied equipment.
Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
Ability to meet all requirements to wear respiratory protection.
Ability to walk up and down stairs.
Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
