Role Summary/Purpose
GE Additive is offering machines, materials and engineering services as a new P&L within GE. This posting is specific to the engineering services team. This team will be focused on additive design consulting and helping customers find the right additive applications. This may entail training, designing, co-creation or physical prototyping.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will:
Create definition of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D reusable models in a linked model environment, tolerance stack-ups, change is design co-authoring and various other electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, quality and inspection within expected cost, quality and schedule
Works with engineering and supply chain partners to determine dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing producibility
Ensure all interfaces between components are established and agreed upon by Engineering design teams of mating parts and systems
Drive global team development through communication, partnering and mentoring to drive local decision making and autonomy
Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements when applicable
Continuously challenges self and team skills in functional area. Stays current with industry developments in one's field of expertise
Concurrently manage multiple projects to ensure program cost, quality and schedule requirements are met
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university (OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering, IT, scientific or other technical position OR an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, IT, scientific or other technical position)
At least 3 additional years of design experience in aerospace, automotive, transportation, medical or other technical industry
