Janitor
General
Summary: To keep the store and offices clean and orderly, perform basic maintenance on store and office items, and to provide prompt, friendly, courteous customer service. Participate in creating a positive environment that encourages the New Leaf team culture.
Responsibilities:
Operations
Wipe down surfaces: banister, tables, shelves, walls, file cabinets, conference room surfaces, desks and computers.
Perform tasks like vacuuming and cleanup of spills.
Empty all trash cans and recycling throughout store.
Clean break room refrigerator and refrigeration units as directed.
Clean and stock all paper supplies in all bathrooms, break rooms and classrooms.
Perform basic maintenance on equipment and fixtures as needed.
Maintain parking lot, outside receiving area, recycling and trash areas. Maintain baler and compactor.
Direct traffic in parking lot and receiving area to ensure customer access.
Assist customers with product questions.
Notify managers of any equipment issues.
Other
Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications

Excellent communication and listening skills
Ability to handle multiple demands in a calm and effective manner
Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments
Ability to create a positive environment and work as team member
Organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to make decisions using good judgment
Experience implementing systems and procedures
Ability to plan and work with limited supervision
Familiarity with janitorial tasks, such as cleaning and dusting
Special Requirements
Willingness to work with sanitizers and cleaners
Ability to observe safety procedures with the operation of all ladders, tools and machinery
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment
Ability to climb and work from a ladder at various heights
Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods of time
Must be able to perform functions with repetitive wrist and arm motion
