OverviewThe Bio. Engineering Department of Overlook Medical Center is currently seeking a Bio-med Tech.Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Perform electrical safety, preventive maintenance, calibrations and incoming inspections on medical devices.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical devices per manufacturer's specifications.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, preventive maintenance, schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual medical equipment situations, and any customer concerns
Prepare to assume 24-hour on-call repair responsibilities within six months of hire.
Complete all documentation with regards to inspections, repairs, parts ordering, and inventory to meet regulatory requirements.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree in Science or Technology, EET or BMET or military trained (BMET) Biomedical Equipment Technician. BMET preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a hospital environment or with a medical device vendor preferred.
