Product Development Engineer
Position
Summary:
This position is responsible for driving product and process development activities. This role works closely with the Product Development Manager to identify areas of improvement, develop project plans, and successfully execute. They act as a change agent and lead cross-functional team projects to completion.
Essential Functions:
Identifies product and process improvement opportunities.
Applies analytical analysis to determine project feasibility and verify results.
Supports innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the organization.
Utilizes project management tools to keep projects on track.
Lead training and support to designers, drafters, engineers, and plant personnel on products and process changes.
Facilitate cross-functional teams and projects.
Support implementation of new product development process and design for manufacturing strategy.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
2-5 years related experience in a configure to order / engineer to order environment
Experience with 3-D CAD software required (CREO preferred).
Working knowledge of product design, manufacturing, and application.
