The successful candidate will assure proper design, installation, and repair of instrument and electrical equipment in compliance with regulatory and BASF standards. The role will provide expertise to support maintenance, operations, and capital project activities. Additionally, this position ensures a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools. The scope is instrumentation and electrical less than 600 Volts. You Will Provide troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units on equipment repair/reliability including emergency work reviews. Contribute technical support to the Maintenance Supervisor, specialists, and craftsmen on difficult repair activities. Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.Create Your Own Chemistry:

What We Look for in You Bachelor s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation and/or electrical maintenance in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment. Broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of instrument and electrical systems, equipment, and software. Solid understanding of maintenance work processes. Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the capacity to influence, persuade, and negotiate by leveraging strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience in providing technical guidance to instrument technicians and electricians.
