Prog Cost/Sched Ctrl Analyst 3

Sets up cost control system; monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles; sales outlook; and variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures; directing preparation of expenditure projections; and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in finance or business
Work history demonstrating ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic business environment
Strong interpersonal skills, experience working across business units or departments or with cross-functional teams
Ability to manipulate, analyze, and distill large volumes of data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of the interdependencies of financial accounts and cost and revenue drivers
Intermediate to advanced user of MS Excel
Intermediate user of MS PowerPoint

Qualifications:
SAP experience in a manufacturing environment
Relevant experience in a Job Cost Environment and/or contract cost accounting (SOP 81-1)
Accounting/Finance experience in Aerospace & Defense Industry (and L-3 as a preference)
Physical Requirements: Will work in a manufacturing/assembly environment. May work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects or parts, and/or operation of machines and/or assembly of fabricated parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands or fingers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
