Job Description :
Position is in Baltimore Controls organization. Field Service Tech is responsible for installation, maintenance, alteration, technical support and order entry by performing the following duties: performs installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Controls products on various platforms including shipboard installations; provides training on the use of the equipment, provided manuals, servicing, removal and installation; talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders; addresses customer concerns on site and refers those concerns to the proper departments within the controls organization for further investigation; present to US Navy personnel from time to time; and expected to travel to various shipyards in support all of these duties. Demonstrates measurable commitment to achieving organization quality goals and objectives. Demonstrates commitment to achieving safety & health, ESH, goals and objectives, and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Excellent written and oral communication skills is required. US Navy shipboard experienced is desired and familiarity with newer ship classes is a plus.
Basic Qualifications
2-3 years of Field Service experience. Must be able to travel when required. Prefer naval shipboard experience.
