Designs layouts of printed circuit boards, thick film or thin film modules (hybrids or substrates), derived from data provided by design engineers
such as sketches, 3D or 2D models, drawings, descriptions, written or verbal information as appropriate, in accordance with
government and/or company standards and practices
Prepares drawing packages consisting of assembly, parts list, board detail, schematic and tooling information.
Operates interactive computer-graphic systems as required
Signs off drawing as person responsible for drafting accuracy and may check the quality and accuracy of drawings generated by other electrical drafting personnel. May direct work done on their assignment by other drafting personnel
May perform minor mechanical drafting related to electrical design
Basic Qualifications
Two or more years experience in Electrical Design/Drafting.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Desired skills
Four or more years experience in Design on multilayer, surface mount and through-hole
technology.
Familiar with LM MST Command Media and processes
Familiar with MyParts and EPDM
Familiar with IPC specifications related to printed circuit boards, schematic and footprint creation
Experience in Altium Designer
Experience in Zuken CR 5000/8000 and DS2
Experience in Cadence Virtuoso
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience in InterComm
IPC Certified Interconnect Designer
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Two (2) or more years of experience in Electrical Design/Drafting occupation
Two (2) or more years of experience in design of multilayer surface mount and through- hole technology.
Working knowledge in High Density Interconnect technology preferred.
Two (2) or more years of experience on UNIX Operating System, PC Desktop applications, Mentor
C.2 or EN2001.1, AutoCad V2002/V2004 and Zuken CR5000.
