Systems Engineer Sr
Job Description :
The selected engineer with work as a lead and site liaison for multiple Navy Experimental Reentry body builds in FBM Reentry Systems as well as be required to work some Requirements and Verification tasks as part of the Reentry Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test group. the candidate will help with the transfer of production from the Sunnyvale campus to the Florida site. Applicant must have excellent communication skills, self-motivated, a self-starter, and team oriented.
Basic Qualifications
Engineering degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and demonstrated equivalent experience of job description elements
Demonstrated understanding of Systems Engineering disciplines.
Experience with requirements definition, verification and validation.
Solid understanding of system life cycle
Experience with authoring technical requirements, plans or procedures
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
Desired skills
Master's degree in Engineering, from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience.
Experience with major technical reviews (Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), etc.)
Experience with every stage of product life cycle
Experience with Navy customer.
Experience in a customer interfacing role
Knowledge of and experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Programs' Reentry Systems' architectures, processes and products.
Previous Project Leadership Experience as well as Program Planning
Demonstrated experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines. (mechanical, electrical, systems, flight sciences, materials, manufacturing, test, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with customers, management and peers is required.
Excellent communication, presentation and people skills.
Demonstrated strong problem solving skills
Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple efforts concurrently.
