Why PepsiCo?
PepsiCo offers the world's largest portfolio of billion-dollar food and beverage brands, including 22 different product lines that generate more than $1 billion in annual retail sales each. Our main businesses -- Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, and Pepsi Cola - also make hundreds of other enjoyable foods and beverages that are respected household names throughout the world. With net revenues of approximately $65 billion, PepsiCo's people are united by our unique commitment to sustainable growth by investing in a healthier future for people and our planet, which we believe also means a more successful future for PepsiCo. We call this commitment Performance with Purpose: PepsiCo's promise to provide a wide range of foods and beverages for local tastes; to find innovative ways to minimize our impact on the environment, including conserving energy and water usage, and reducing packaging volume; to provide a great workplace for our associates; and to respect, support and invest in the local communities where we operate.
Why eCommerce?
The impact of technology has fundamentally evolved and in some cases transformed almost every consumer segment, with groceries / consumables being the next space that both external experts and large players (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Alibaba) are betting on. As a result, eCommerce is one of the fastest-growing areas within the consumer products industry and represents a significant opportunity (and potential threat) for PepsiCo across geographies.
Winning in this space requires a step-change in thinking and a fundamental shift in the way that PepsiCo approaches how we make, move, and sell our portfolio. To help drive this change, PepsiCo has established a dedicated eCommerce group, bringing together world class talent across F&B, digital, and key customers. While tied closely to broader organization, the eCommerce group has a unique start-up feel (with a dedicated NYC office) and defined values that embrace a more entrepreneurial mindset: bias for action; results oriented; community-focused; prioritization of people.
Functional Description:
The Global eCommerce Finance team plays a critical role in enabling PepsiCo eCommerce to meet our aggressive growth targets. The team works cross functionally to help drive PepsiCo eCommerce's long term growth, shaping both the future of the organization and the F&B eCommerce landscape.
Joining PepsiCo eCommerce's Finance team will enable you to experience the breadth and depth of PepsiCo's global portfolio and build a deep understanding of our business, the industry, and core finance competencies.
What you can expect:
The MBA internship is designed to prepare you for a full time career in PepsiCo Global eCommerce's finance team. Throughout the course of the 10 week internship you will be an integral part of PepsiCo's eCommerce team and help find solutions to some of our most pressing business challenges. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet PepsiCo's senior executives in intimate settings, learn the PepsiCo business model and how we deliver product to the consumer, and engage with fellow interns across functions.
As an MBA intern, you will continue to work closely with executives, operators, and the broader eCommerce team to develop long-term growth plans, analyze potential M&A opportunities, find solutions to high priority issues, and identify opportunities in operational efficiency to support long term success. You will have accountability over one to two specific work-streams. Your work on the team will enable you to develop professionally as you work across multiple functions and/or geographies within the business.
