Job Description:
SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Programmer Analyst will perform a broad range of duties including programming, reporting, documentation and support. Support desktop and web-based systems running Microsoft Windows that utilize SQL Server and Oracle databases. The incumbent will be knowledgeable the fundraising and business processes of the division and maximize effective technological tools in order to meet the division's goals and to assist staff in successfully fulfilling their responsibilities.
EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Write, modify, and maintain SQL Scripts, Oracle packages, Stored Procedures and Triggers.
Troubleshoot and debug PL/SQL codes.
Perform maintenance on data records, to include but not limited to feeds, modifications, updates, and fine-tuning.
Construct complex data queries and perform data analysis.
Interact with IT staff at UMass President's Office/ Foundation and campus central IT.
Create, modify and maintain tables to support integration automation.
Review application code and deploy approved scripts to development and test environments.
Work with users to identify and develop report requirements.
Provide recommendations for solutions and estimates of time-frame for completion of work.
Perform data extraction, data cleansing, data transformation and data loading into application databases.
Create, modify and maintain reports to be run from a 3rd party vendor application such as iModules and Ellucian Advance.
Follows the University's best practices to build and/or support student academic success and retention, and assist in meeting strategic objectives for persistence and timely graduation of all the student population.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: Previous (over one year) ORACLE and PL/SQL experience. Experience in data analysis and reporting. Experience with BI tools. Knowledge of, and ability to write, SQL scripts.
OTHER: Occasional evening and weekend hours as projects dictate. Some travel may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
Experience with Ellucian Advance fund raising system.
Experience with one or more of the following: PL/SQL Developer, Toad, SQL Navigator, RapidSql.
Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams and logical data models.
Experience with Crystal Reports is a plus.
Some SQL Server experience preferred.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Experience with ETL processes; working knowledge of stored procedures; MS Office Suite

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
