Rehabilitation Specialist

DESCRIPTION:
Create and implement structured treatment plans focused on rehabilitation of psychosocial skills for clients, ages 4 years through adult.
Responsible for documentation of treatment, assessment, and periodic progress reviews to evaluate effectiveness of treatment. Responsible for maintaining adherence to Medicaid chapter 400 regulations regarding Rehabilitative Mental Health services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND

Administrative
Document session note for each treatment session completed.
Document progress report for each client 30 days after intake.
Create individualized Treatment Plans for each assigned client 30 days after intake and submit updated treatment plans to supervisor 21 days before expiration of existing prior authorization approval.
Administer assessment tools (including CASII and CAFAS) as assigned by direct supervisor or Clinical Director and as within scope of practice for credentials.
Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with community agencies, government officials, and clientele
Attend scheduled trainings and staff meetings
Ensure compliance with service contract requirements and with Medicaid Service Manual Chapter 400 regulations
Program
Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on behavior modification principles for all assigned clients. Maintain client reports and documentation in Youth Care treatment software and in client hard file.
Implement behavior modification interventions with assigned clients to address impaired psychological functioning. Interventions will address issues pertaining to the following areas: behavior management, social competency, problem identification and resolution, effective communication, moral reasoning, identity and emotional intimacy, self-sufficiency, life goals and/or sense of humor although they may not be limited to these areas.
Observe, document, and consult with caregivers regularly regarding clients signs, symptoms, and treatment progress.
Collaborate with each clients treatment team members-including legal guardian(s) when client is a minor-to ensure continuity of care.
Communicate recommendations for service referrals to direct supervisor and to clients therapist or psychiatrist to verify referral is in alignment with course of treatment. After verification is achieved, then provide referral to clients legal guardian.
Display positive role modeling and leadership for clients
Establish and maintain consistent attendance at scheduled treatment sessions.
Interact with all clients in a respectful manner without bias.
As required, interact with children during play activities and events.

EDUCATION/
Experience:
Required
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in social services or behavioral health field
OR
Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada
6 months administering behavior modification interventions to clients/patients OR
90 hours of supervised student internship administering behavior modification interventions to clients/patients in the field of psychology or social services
Preferred
Bachelors degree in psychology, sociology, or applied behavior analysis
Enrolled in Graduate program for psychology, sociology, or applied behavior analysis

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:NS
General
Valid State Drivers License, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance
CPR/First Aid Certification
CPI Certification (provided)
Complete annual continuing education as required by Medicaid to maintain approved provider status
Age minimum of 21 years

Stamina to work long days and drive long distances

Home-like settings with varying moderate to high degrees of background noise. Light and ventilation are found in a typical home setting
Campuses are smoke-free, except on permitted campuses in designated areas
Possible hazards
Possibility of exposure to blood borne pathogens exists if universal precautions are not followed. (Hepatitis B inoculation available per request)
Possible injury when lifting, moving or interacting (child or objects) if employee fails to use proper body mechanics, or if proper techniques are not used when the use of CPI restraint techniques are required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
