JOB PURPOSE:
Ability to perform job duties as required in the fabrication assembly task level progression program. Individuals must be able to demonstrate the required skills of each task level prior to moving to the next classification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned):
Assist other departments as assigned by supervisor
Display safe and proper work habits.
Maintain good attendance record.
Clean work area each day and put tools back in their proper location.
Ability to carry out supervisor instructions in accordance with AZZ/PEI policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (list below, if applicable):
None
Qualifications:
Equipment Used: Ability to use basic tools required (welders, plasma cutter, ironworker, grinders and various hand tools).
Certificates, licenses, and registrations: None required.
Knowledge/Skills: Previous welding experienced in construction and/or manufacturing would be a plus.
Education/
Experience: Vocational/Technical degree in welding or equivalent helpful but not required.
Language Skills: Oral comprehension and expression. Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of personnel.
Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability: Inductive and deductive reasoning, ability to draw conclusions, selective attention. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Attendance Requirement: Regular attendance required during plant hours. Occasional overtime.
Travel Requirement: Not applicable
Physical Demands: Lifting: heavy, Reaching: moderate, Stooping/Kneeling: heavy and Climbing: moderate.
Work Environment: Primarily un-air-conditioned plant area.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
