Position Overview:
Theprimary function of the Senior Financial Analyst role is to provide accounting,financial and compliance support for the Engine Air Management global productline. The Senior Financial Analyst works collaboratively with budget owners tocreate annual profit plan budgets, investigate spending variances, forecastmonthly spending trends and prepare action plans to achieve business targets byproviding forward-looking analysis and insight to business leads. The Senior FinancialAnalyst develops program spending analysis and reporting for the Engine AirManagement product lines to trackprogram financial performance and variances. The ideal candidate is a criticalthinker, highly analytical, process improvement oriented, and demonstrates thedrive and people capability to deliver results within a global, growing, andprofitable business.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Supportsthe month-end closing by preparing journal entries, cross-charge allocationsand month-end accruals. Prepares monthly budget reports and monthly engineeringproject spending analysis.
Coordinatesthe global monthly forecasting process by working collaboratively with programand engineering managers, updating forecasting models, conducting budgetreviews and updating systems such as DFT and Encore.
Assistsin developing the annual profit plan by preparing department budget templates,reviewing budgets for consistency and completion, analyzing spending trends,tracking headcounts, calculating allocations and preparing presentations. Takesthe lead on several aspects of building the profit plan and coordinatingrequirements with the regional and divisional key players.
Coordinatesthe global consolidation of product line spend and consistency of financialreporting with regional finance leads .
Leadsthe global project based accounting process for the Engine Air Managementproduct line including overseeing cost allocations for engineering time, labor,material, services and revenue against projects.
Analyzeskey performance drivers to investigate spending variances. Performs root causeanalysis to resolve problems. Interprets financial results and communicatesopportunities for improvement to budget leads
Coordinatesthe development of global engineering labor rates.
Worksin a team environment to drive improvement in financial processes throughtools/systems, automation, and standardization. Cross-train with other analysts to buildskills and experience across the division finance team.
Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited institution isrequired.
Minimum2 years accounting experience is required.
Mustbe legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipnow or in the future.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Priorexperience driving results and continuous improvement throughout an organization.

Musthave attention to detail and sound analytical skills, ability tointerpret/communicate financial information.
Mustbe able to see detail and big picture so that resulting communications andreports describe key risks and drivers as well as details and are prepared andpresented in a manner consistent with previously reported data.
