Responsibilities
Overview:
Performs specialized procedures on patients resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by the radiologist and for providing the patient care essential to these procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Responsibilities:
Locates and properly operates oxygen, suction, blood pressure and other essential patient care equipment.
Consistently observes patients before, during and after procedures, making and using appropriate immobilization devices.
Appropriately transfers patients to/from stretchers, wheelchairs and on/off procedure table, giving care to IV's and other appliances.
Reviews orders for diagnosis and prescriptions, appropriately scheduling patient and department resources for services.
Provides diagnostic CT scans for interpretation by radiologist.
Demonstrates ability to perform exams in NICU, ICU, SNF, and ER including exams on trauma patients.
Correctly administers contrast materials for patient exams.

Certifications: Must be eligible for ARRT registration, with receipt of ARRT within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Certifications: ARRT registration preferred.
