The Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CKHS.
The Executive Vice President/ Chief Operating Officer directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of Crozer Keystone Health System in accordance with the policies, goals and objectives set by the CEO and the Board of Directors. Recommends to the CEO in development of corporate policies and goals that cover the hospitals' operations, personal, financial performance, and growth.
Supports CEO in internal and external business matters
Involved in community activities representing the Health System
Directs the preparation of short-term and long- range plans and budgets based on corporate goals and growth objectives. Reviews analyses of activities costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives
Oversees Senior Executives, Directors, and Manages who direct department activities that implement the organizations policies
Directs corporate operations to achieve budgeted profit results and other financial benchmarking standards
Directs the development and installation of corporation procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow
Develops and establishes corporate operating policies consistent with the CEO's broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution. Appraises and evaluates the overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the CEO
Ensures sound services and working relationships with key staff or important vendors, with outside services such as consultants, legal counsel, advertising agencies , auditing firms, and with outside public government and bodies
Ensures that all corporate activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations
Leads and assists in ensuring the health system meets and maintains Joint Commission, state license and other accreditation requirements
Interacts with Medical staff and board members regularly
Experience:
A Master's in business administration is preferred
Minimum 10 years' experience
