Description
Sotera Defense Solutions is seeking a top-talented Technical Writer in Ft Bragg, NC for the proposal effort supporting the USACAPOC contract keeping America safe at home and abroad. Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level clearance.
The Technical Writer will:
Conduct independent research and organize information according to the user's needs.
Understand the technology and applications for which documentation is to be prepared.
Create, organize and manage documents.
Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Have substantial knowledge of the capabilities of computer systems and demonstrate good communication skills.
Have the ability to work independently or under general direction only.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Industrial Technology, English, Business Administration, Technical Writing or other related discipline from a college or university that is accredited by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
Mush have five (5) years of technical writing experience in IT.
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite 2003/2007/2010/2013 (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, InfoPath, Visio).
Must be proficient in MS Project, Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw Graphics Suite, Xara Designer, Photoshop, and MS Office Suite of products.
Must have three (3) to five (5) years of experience performing research, writing, and editing functions to prepare briefings, manuals and supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects.
Must have experience of working in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Must have experience understanding the technology and applications for which documentation is to be prepared.
Desirable
Qualifications:
Must have solid grammar, spelling and writing skills.
Must communicate well and be a good listener to compile information into written documentation for senior management and other executive stakeholders' review/approval.
Experience with USACAPOC.
Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level clearance.
